What's your name, age, and where you're from?
Mike Hoder, 22, Seattle,WA
What frame are you riding?
Currently I am riding the Cardona and it is the best frame I have ever ridin.
You're one of the taller riders out there, how tall are you?
I am one of the taller riders out there and I am 6'4. Should have played basketball.I heard that you're into giving yourself tattoos, is that true? Which is your favorite tat?
I was never into "giving" myself tattoo's but I have somehow ended up doing two of my own tattoos. I just love ink in general and Ii will always love getting drunk and getting tattoo's. Some of my friends are tattoo artists so Ii can get lot done for free, thanks BTM. My favorite tattoo is the "northwest" I have on my neck with the outline of Washington state in the background, its about where I and what I come from.
Do you have a custom grill that says "Came up"? Will you send a picture?
I did have one but I got drunk another night and woke up in the morning with a hangover and stepped on it. I tried to fix it but it never worked again. I got a new one on the way. Came Up!
Do you mostly ride street or are you into parks and trails too?
For the most part I only ride street. I just hate getting dirty when riding trails, and for skateparks I ride them all the time. There is one real close to my house and I go there everyday to warm up and start my day off. I grew up riding at Sea Skate, a park that got torn done by a rich guy. Now I have an RIP Sea Skate tat on my forearm.
Little Jeff said you were at his house one time with a mohawk wearing a money suit, will the mohawk make a comeback? Do you still wear the money suit?
I do beleive that did happen. I have had a mohawk a couple of times only for a couple of days at a time. For the monkey suit, I had that for a long time but then summer came around so I cut the pants into shorts and ended up giving the jacket to a friend of mine. That shit was so vintage they never made them again.
Any words about the lightening bolt sculpture at the space needle? I noticed there is a pic on the Lotek site of you up on it.
Its huge and the clip will be dope when you all see it. I've looked at that setup for years in my hometown but finally worked up enough balls to go for it.
What kind of music are you in to? Any suggestions on anything good to listen to?
Lil Wayne, UGK, Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, James Brown, Al Green, any kind of reggae, southern rap, or soul.
What kind of stuff are you into when your not riding?
Chillin with my girl, kickin it with the homies, drinking and smokin, eating good food, going to the bar, listening to music, and looking at how fucked up my bike gets all the time.
Any goals or spots you want to get stuff done at?
I would like to go to El Toro anyday and just show people how to do a 360 down a big set of stairs. I tried it once but almost ended up in the back of a cop car. I also want to ride in China and Japan one day, those places look amazing. My goal is to get 3 video parts done this year that are "Out of Control'.
Any video parts your working on?
I am working on a Lotek part which should be very good at the rate I am going, and I am also working on a video part with Marco Svizzero that will be all footage from the Bay Area, and then I am working on a part for the shop I work at called Revolution Cycles. We are making a full length video which should be very good. Anyone who is ever in Seattle and needs a part for there bike or wants to ride come to Revolution.
Any shout outs or thanks to anyone?
I would like to say thanks to anyone and everyone who has ever helped me out, my parents and family, Trask and Laura at Revolution Cycles, Rich at Lotek, Midnight Ice Cream, all my homie's, and S&M for giving me a second chance. Thanks Moeller.
Anything else?
This year is going to be a big one for me and I can not wait to produce some of the craziest footage some of you have ever seen. I am making my way to the top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
