SOFTIES

Tuesday, October 26, 2010

Tone-Loc and Hoder have been putting in some heavy testing on our new gear for Fall. At this point I'm pretty sure those jacket can survive some gale force winds and maybe the occasional golden shower for you weird ones. Peep the line up, it's all out now...

WELCOME TO CALI

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

Yup the man, Tony Stony Cardoney is back in So-Cal… for a while at least. You never know where he’s headed, fool’s such a nomad that he’s down to pitch his tent wherever state laws will let him or wherever the closest bar is. So his plans are to post up in the 714 and cause as much ruckus and destruction as possible till he gets tossed out. Welcome to Cali homie! -MC

Comin’ off of a lil vacate, due to your haggared ass ankles, how stoked are you to be back on your wheels?

-Dude, let me tell you McMuffin, it feels so good to give her some juice again! On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm at about 420!! My ankles are going faster than my brain, it's a good thing there are pedals attached, I wouldn't know what to do?

Got word you’ve already been doin’ shit, how was that trip to Florida?

-It was brick as fuck in Florida!! Me and my homie Jeff K. were on the porch drinkin' beers in sleeping bags to stay warm!! Cold weather aside that trip was awesome, I hadn't been to FL for a minute, or ridden with Jeff Klugelwicz, one of my midwest homies. Matt Coplon put us up at his house, and took us to some really good spots I'd never been to. Thanks again Matt!!

You’ve been on the WTF for a bit, but you’re back on your ganja goodness. Were you feelin’ the proto-type?

-Yeah I was feelin' it for sure! I liked everything about it, especially the re-vamped head tube and the dropouts worked really well with my Profile hubs. It was so simple to take my bike apart, and just as easy to put back together and go SHRED!

You got any plans when you come back down to Cali?

-Yeah, I'm bringing my whole squad of TC goodness to squat with Dylan and Christian, and ride anything and everything I can put my two wheels on or jump over. Heavy artillery!

Oh yeah, uhh… any mods?
-Brain mods, tons of em, all day, errry day.

Today is different then most days, everyone around here seem to be in a very giggly mood for some reason. There's also a faint smell of a unique incense, lurkin' through the nooks and crannies of The Building. So in light of the festivities and that us being in such a very positive mood, we're going to give you homies some free shwag. Hit up the FB to see how you can throw in on this sack!

T.C. UPDATE

Tony Cardona's back! After being out for a few months, because of those haggard broken ankles, the fool is back on his bike. Lately he's been back and forth between workin', preparing some bomb shroom pizza and shreddin' the city of Austin. He also just got back from a Profile trip to Florda with Dolecki, so you'll definitely see some good times out of that.

DUDES DOIN' SHIT

Wednesday, March 03, 2010

Things have been going down lately and dudes have been doin' shit. Dylan just got a new pad with Hoder, in the hardcore LVGA, where fools get axed like The Black Dahlia in bathrooms. But there are high hopes for another P.O.W. house and the best part, all the heads are in the same Barrio. So, got word from Beringer that he and Cam Wood have been getting jib on their ski bikes and also have been shredding too since the SLC is starting to defrost. Cam's also in the process of getting some "Cam Color Specials" on a new build he just got, sounds promising to look dope. After the trip, Stricker was still amped to ride so he got a one way trip to Spain and has said to be... wait, I wonder what he's actually doin? Anyway, the two crips, Jeff Landtiser and Tony Cardona, have been steadily healing’ up. Tony just got hooked up at a pizza joint in Austin called, Hot Slice (512-322-9499)  hit him up. Then Jeff has been cruisin’ on his hog, about to come down to the 714 soon. If you peep the new DIG, you can see that it's still white in Philly, so Randy Brown's makin' the best out of it and riding the indoor parks with the homies... word.

Viente Cinco Anos

Tuesday, December 22, 2009
First up, I like to give congratulations to Patrick Kirkham for winning the sweet lil package we gave out on our Facebook. Pretty difficult questions, good job bro. Look out for a lot more of though in the weeks to pass.

So word for today, There's a few interesting topics you should check out on this Tuesday boozday.

Like this! I knew about this for a bit, and I was sitting on it to tell you wassup, but I just waited till it came out. Woozy hit up Tony C for an interview while he was out in Cali. Just about what's been going on with the dude lately, it'll give you a few "LOL"s.

And the other crip, Jeff Landtiser is headed back to Portland today. His knee is recovering fast, and looks like he'll be riding sooner than expected. While getting a check up at the doctors he somehow managed to pick up a sponsorship from a knee brace company, CTI. Jeff's coming back better than ever.

Here's something for the books, literally. Since S&M is coming up on its 25yr anniversary, and you know plenty of hootenanny and mayhem went down through those past years, we had the idea to create a book full of these memories. Sort of like a photo album or scrapbook but with a little twist. We are hoping to get this publish in the next few months. So if you want to share any of your good times you ad with us, leave them in the comments section on our new BlogSpot. Hit it up.

I'll leave you guys with a glimpse of Hoder's fresh whip.

Peace,

MC

Aight ridaz, you got a lucky chance today. We are going to have some of the radest dudes in BMX here in "The Building" pretty soon. Lil' Jeff, Tony C, and Stricker are coming down to chill for a bit and agreed to kick it on the Facebook to talk some shit with you guys. It's a bummer if you don't have one, because if you know anything about these guys they are some of the most alluring dudes to talk to. So man up and get on that right neeow! They should be live in a bit.

A couple other thing cool things going round here… As we get further in to the finalization of the WTF, I'm finally able to give you a lil' info on this machine. Here's what I got from Christian…
-The WTF frame provides a lower stand over height without the "scooter" like appearance, no Zoots here. Check the difference next to the CAM frame.
-Blackhole dropouts on it will never pinch like traditional dropouts.
-Light weight without sacraficing strength.
-Has a lower BB and makes for a better center of gravity, so it's stable.
-75.5 degree HT angle to remain nimble.

If you guys are wondering about the forks in the picture too, listen to this
-Shorter steerer tube, without the excess metal it cuts down weight.
-Shorter legs, again less metal less weight.
-Shorter leverage also makes it light but gives less strain, for more strength.

Cool new stuff right? Keep checking back for more details on the new projects we've been working on. This aint it.

Alright so Moeller, as the good man he is, came along with Tony during his surgery and got a few shots of how it went. I'm going to throw the pics in the Flickr for y'all to see.

Good stuff if you ask me, remember to peep that FB.

P.S. Im'a rhymer.

GOOD ISH

Thursday, December 03, 2009
Good word for today...
Tony had an awesome surgery. With a top notch surgeon workin' with some of the best athletes in our "Xtreme" sports industries, he'll be back on his feet real soon. Steady healin' buddy. Stay tuned for an edit of Tony slaying the LBC droppin' real soon...

To keep your BMX feen on. Rok Krivec from Evolution BMX, riding for us out in Slovenia (bet you didn't know we had crew reppin' out there) put this edit together with Carhartt. If you haven't seen Rok shred, check this.

Another edit that I was glad to have in my inbox is comin' from my man Ben Green. I said we needed more and he delivered. In this one he and a few of his homies ride the streets of the "Empire State. " So Good.

A few of you might have heard of the new magazine that Mike Netley is putting together, called Case. In the first issue, there's an article about our new WTF we have been working on, and we also got the back cover. For more details on Case jump to the link.

I know a lot of you were diggin' these bad boys since we previewed them on the Facebook. Well we got the 29" cruiser bars back from paint and they are ready to go to stores near you, that is if you can order them fast enough. Only a small batch for the first run around.

and these stems are still here for hunting season. Grab one before they get blasted for good. (Gun rack not included)

So weather is looking kind of bum, expecting some So Cal rain soon. Y'all can't be envious no more. With that... catch you homies later.

MC

Let's called it, The Red & White Wednesday sale hah. So ma and pop stop by to pick up some fresh gear for your little monster. Tees y hats with be only 64 pesos or 5 bucks, if you live on the outskirts of Santa Ana, wey. Get our address from our contact section so you can MapQuest that shit.

I got a bangin' vid for you guys today, our Canadian homie Isaac Barnes, straight outta 1664. Big props to the man, he's been getting it done lately. Speaking of Isaac, 1664 just put up an official interview with him that you can peep here. Definitely something to check out.

Also, flow ridah Mike Osso has a bio up on the Orchid site. Check it! Because I think Mike doesn't get enough shine time. He shreds.

So the crew and I had some good times this weekend and Tony managed to pass out in his suitcase. It's hilarious. But all the rest of the hootenanny we documented will be in our Flickr. Some of the shots with definitely make you "LOL."
